Hola, yo de nuevo =)

Uno de los ramos (subjects) de la carrera que aparecen en este certificado se llama "TALLER DE INTRODUCCIÓN A LA EDICIÓN".

Mi consulta es con respecto a la palabra "EDICIÓN". ¿La traducción correcta sería: EDITION, EDITING, REDACTION o ninguna de las anteriores?

Explanation:
Editing: An editor checks spelling, grammar, consistency, etc. in a text that may or may not be for publication. Edition is a given publication's first, second, etc. version (note this is different from printing and reprint, in which no modification has been made to the original version).

Publishing: A publisher is someone who produces printed materials, mostly books and magazines. The publisher may or may not be an editor, since a publisher is whoever is legally responsible for the creation of a work in printed form.

"Redaction" is not proper English; the correct word for this would be "composition", which I am sure is not the case here.

I forgot to translate the entire phrase!

"Introductory workshop on editing" (if about spell-checking and such) or
"Intrucuctory workshop on publishing" (if it is about the business of book-making).

PS: I now see that "redaction" does exist; still, I agree with Patricia: it doesn't sound natural.
