Spanish term or phrase: pinchar
From the same installation report.

English translation:connect
Explanation:
I'm not sure if clicking makes sense in context. It sounds like they only needed to connect one device in test, and now they need to connect six for production, which caused/causes them problems.

I found uses of pinchar where they refer to connecting a device.

plug

Explanation:
The text explains that they had problems with the IDs for the jukeboxes just because in the previous tests they only had one SCSI device plugged (that is one single ID) and in the real production setup there are six devices (which must have different IDs).

-> Why be neutral if you agree? I'll go ahead and agree with yours, since they're basically synonyms. We need to raise them up above the clicking.

agree  Tom2004: i prefer "connect"over "plug in" because most of these SCSI are first plugged in but then additionally secured by a couple of screws to complete the "connection"!

-> Thanks Tom. "plug in", in English, is something I would use while referring to the computer as a whole, or a TV, etc... but a device should be connected, in my opinion.

disagree  Wes Freeman: Sorry Mike--I think too many are agreeing with this, and while it is a good guess because of the dictionary entry, I'm afraid it doesn't make sense to me in context. It is most likely being used in a different way for this case.

plug in

Explanation:
It's talking about SCSI devices, it's about hardware, not software!
So the term "pinchar", as you can see from the use made of it below, is the equivalent of the english "to plug in".
