Portuguese term or phrase: dá atualidade
Hey,
I'm having a bizarre amount of trouble figuring out how to translate this phrase, with the accent on the "a." If it is helpful, here is the context within which the phrase occurs:
"Analisamos essas mudanças a partir desta nova conjuntura agrária que dá atualidade à questão agrária e ao MST."

Thanks so much in advance.

makes the land reform a highly current issue
Explanation:
The MST, the Landless Movement, fights for a more comprehensive land reform in Brazil, so the context would be something along these lines.
