Hi, I think régimes means samples (taken for testing) but am not sure. Can anyone help? Many thanks

I have bananas growing in my garden and I have a "régime" staring me at me every morning when I open my bedroom window ;-)
The régime is the stem of bananas. It's composed of clusters of mains (hands).
Not to be confused with the actual stem of the plant growing upright from the ground, the régime is the hanging part of the stem on which the bananas grow.

: Yes, what we colloquially call a "bunch" of bananas should really be called a "hand". The bunch is the whole set of hands and the part of the stem they grow on.
