nel periodo natalizio, augurare o ricevere un happy holidays significa senz'altro buone feste.

if you mean "Christmas holidays" then the proper phrase is "buone feste", whereas "buone vacanze" generally refers to summer holidays, but at NO rate to Christmas time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
