Italian term

controcredito (in the sense of credit due as compensation)

Italian to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s) notice of objection against injunction to pay
From an action against injunction by way of counterclaim.

Company A, employed by company B, demands payment from B for the services listed in the services contract.
B claims A dismally failed to fulfil contractual obligations, so not only does A not want to pay B, it wants B to pay for damages caused as aresult of B not fulfilling its obligations (specifically, A suffered loss of profit because the camping site was not fully operational).

My question here, is there a specific word in English for 'controcredito'? or should I simply say '...by upholding the counterclaim, offset said amount with the credit due to A as compensation for loss of profits,...'

thanks!
