AllegroTrans Jul 13, 2017:
I don't think anything depends on target country in this case; googling the term "Faculty of" will show that countless universities all over the world use the term. It's "international English". Used in this way, any educated American ought to be able to understand the term.
MollyRose Jul 13, 2017:
Probably depends on target country In the U.S., faculty refers to teaching staff, basically. A "Facultad" would be a College or School, which can have departments within it. This kind of College isn't the same thing as an entire college which hasn't achieved the higher level of "university." Maybe the English words are different overseas, though.

Hi Anabell what is your target country? If this is for the US, we use Department as Dariusz has pointed out. Faculty in the US makes reference to the dept. staff. Please see:
faculty (ˈfækəltɪ)

b. the staff of such a department
c. chiefly US and Canadian all the teaching staff at a university, college, school, etc.
