все куры давно со смеху померли

Below is my attempt to help you out.

And my pay/salary could make a chicken laugh itself to death. I went shopping and they had no chickens on stock. They say it's chicken flu but I think all chickens did die from laughing (out loud).

agree Irene N : This time we are close:-)

Thank you, Irene :)
agree Inna Collier (X) : Definitely better. I would substitute "apy/salary" for "paycheck" maybe, though there are no paychecks in Russia but it's just more understandable for English readers.

импровизация вокруг chickenfeed

и на тему - accept иль не accept

my salary is chickenfeed that even chickens wouldn't accept.
went to a shop to buy a chicken for dinner, they say - don't have any - chicken flu - but i know what killed them - a hunger strike.

Chicken Stock - Laughing Stock>>>

"The only thing this pay is good for is to be made a laughing stock. Went to a supermarket and they say 'No chicken!', they say all the poultry is dead from the bird flu, but I think they've been used up for chicken stock - a laughing stock, I tell you!"
