Spanish term

Centenario

Spanish to English Art/Literary History The history of tribes in Mexico and US
This is not about a hundred years, this one refers to the coins named "centenario" that are used as money to pay as compensation of some tribes. I haven´t found a good translation for the word or maybe there isnt a translation?

Gold coins is my guess.

Any ideas are much appreciated!

Centenario

I think you should keep it untranslated. It would be good to have other references for these coins. I just found this article with information about the "Mexican Centenario de oro". I hope you find it useful!
Example sentence:

Also known as the Centenario de oro, the Mexican 50 Peso was first issued in 1921 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Mexico's War of Independence.

Centurion

If the term has to be translated, Centurion could be an option.
There is a Centurion coin issued by The Democratic Republic of Congo.

neutral Taña Dalglish : No! The heading is clear "history of tribes in Mexico and US". See coin and a description here: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/461830136761412338/ (You don't translate a proper name)./The point is not "if", but one does not translate a proper name.

I believe you have not understood the explanation. Please read it again. I have proposed an option yet left it to the asker to consider whether the term has to be translated. Let us leave it that.
