It is correct English usage, except getaway is spelt wrong (and I'd tend to say annual holiday as a UK person)

To see and be seen at, when referring to a place, means that it's a destination which is popular with celebrities, rich or fashionable people so it's a place where people who wish to appear to belong to this bracket of society, but don't yet, go to give the impression that they are members of that set. It usually refers to places like exclusive restaurants, clubs or hotels, but can also be used in reference to a city where the less wealthy and less fashionable people don't yet go.
