word missing: should be 'a high level'
An organization needs to possess a high level of sophistication to deal with a heterogeneous environment.
to possess a high level of sophistication = to be highly sophisticated

sophistication is the ability to handle complex and varied situations/requirements
sophisticated = not simple 复杂的;精密的 eg sophisticated machinery 精密的机器 (朗文进界词典)

The title 'high standards' and following paragraph 'specific requirements are helpful to the translator's understanding of this term, in my opinion.

'Aimed for high standards

The company realized that it would have to deal with customers with diverse and unique IT infrastructure. Moreover, the tasks to monitor, measure, and deliver as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements would need special skill-sets in a robust Network Operating Center (NOC). It also wanted to offer robust management capabilities of website transactions to its clients.
