reel in = riavvolgere la lenza per tirare il pesce a riva.
però tutto quello che nasce dal gergo dei pescatori (prendere all'amo, tirare a riva, far abboccare, pescare) ha un po' un retrogusto di fregatura, perciò ho virato su "aggiudicarsi/accaparrarsi"...
