...show/depict a new Marianne, comic book-style

Encore une fois, je me sens inconfortable a traduire mot pour mot et particulierement avec la langue anglaise. Donc j'essaye de prendre l'idee generale et ensuite de penser en anglais.
Bonne chance
Peer comment(s):

agree Wayne Waggoner : "Look" out :^) Drop original's unfortunate franglais and "La face de" (for verb to agree). "cartoon-style". Keep simple.

agree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : Much closer. The original uses a short modern language, which should be respected

with a new look

The French side of the 1, 2 and 5 cents coins depict Marianne in her new look, much reminiscent of cartoons

relooké : this is Franglais! They've taken the word "look" and turned it into a past participle, added the "re-" in front, and there you go: you have Marianne, the symbol of the French Republic, with a new look!

redesigned / restyled

as everyone has pointed out, this is a 'new' French word, based on the English 'look', meaning image...

disagree 1964 : relook is the consequence of redesign/restyle not "itself"

agree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : the consequence of redseign, thus redesigned - as Julia suggests!

renewed image/ a new looking

image has a little larger meaning than just a picture, perhaps image+ any combination of re.. possible a new looking is another alternative
Peer comment(s):

agree Daphne Theodoraki : Can't say "new looking" in English!!!

enhanced image

The term "relooke" or "relooker" mostly deal with "Conseilleurs en image ou Relooker" which enhence the image and the style of people (Beaute-soins et cheveux). Also it takes place in picture or in web page design.
Take a look on web page cited.

Best regards,
SCOALB
Peer comment(s):

agree 1964 : I am with image but enhanced seems not fit.
3 mins
disagree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : enhanced suggests improved, relooké means changed

sport/bear/carry a [new-looking] Marianne, [rendered with a new look] in cartoon style

[au choix / a votre gout]
My personal preference would probably be: "... sport a new-looking Marianne, rendered in cartoon style", unless that's too "sporty" for the tone of the rest of the material!
Peer comment(s):

disagree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : this rendering sounds too heavy, too wordy
