While I agree this word means things like irrefutable, undeniable, etc., I don't see these words working here, with "foundation".
It's not the foundation that will ever be irréfragable but the methods behind its creation, its sources, references, etc. Of course metonymy can do its thing and allow you to use one word when referring to something associated with it, but to my mind you need something more here.
The foundation is as solid as a rock because its underlying principles are irrefutable. Or quite simply everything will depend on having irrefutable underlying principles"; after all, what does a foundation do but underlie something ...
