Not sure what this "Banc UD45" is, so I'm not really sure here... But it seems safe to say that it will be used as an alternator.

The SACM UD45 is already a diesel motor used in generating sets; here, what they must be saying is that one of these units had hitherto been set aside for use as a test bed, but that now it is going to be brought into 'proper' service as an operational genset, presumably by coupling it to a new alternator. The idea is not expressed terribly clearly in FR IMHO, but that surely has to be what it means here.
