your crowbar moment Katsy, I liked your crowbar moment:).. Paula's got a lot of imagery to play with here.. twinkling, frolicking, frisky skipping, cheeky peeping.. even slipping on banana skins. All for the sake of a pair of shoes!

love it! Can't help sharing my immediate thought - that "pied de biche" is a crowbar - even if I realise that it's a play on "faire des yeux de biche" - and hence I suggest (tongue in cheek , just in case my humour is not shared) "knock him/them flat with..."
