Examination board.. sounds to me (UK English) like the term we use for external boards, i.e. companies like OCR, EdExcel, etc who set exams nationwide and coordinate their marking. I'm not sure that a native UK English reader would understand 'exam board' to be a group of teachers and heads from within the school who are concerned with exam matters. Maybe Committee (as Kim also suggested) would be clearer?
