cave sauna

or even grotto?

sounds a bit more inviting than 'vault', imo.

a few examples:

Other facilities include a heated swimming pool, Turkish baths, and an excellent restaurant, but the highlight of this complex is the cave sauna. When you disappear underground you will come into a large area full of rocks with a central rock for sitting on. The steam and smoke is carried from the open fire place and rises up under the rock beneath you. Like any sauna you can sit at higher or lower levels and the little waterfall cools you down when you get too hot. New Age music is piped in the background helping you to feel totally relaxed.

vault sauna

I'd call it like that, the German term is an invention, so is the English one, seems to give a good inkling
Peer comment(s):

agree Gareth McMillan : Agree but would write "vaulted sauna".

sauna dome

Possibly. This is the image that it conjures up for me - vault doesn't sound too enticing with its overtones of cellars and dungeons (it would have to be vaulted sauna rather than vault sauna to refer to the shape of the roof)

I think we need to establish whether this is an \"underground\" sort of vault of whether the Gewölbe simply refers to the shape of the roof.

sauna in a vaulted room

Unless it's an ultra-modern bubble sauna (does such a thing exist?) it will be a sauna situated in an old vaulted room.
