'Abbondante meteorismo intestinale interferente'

This is from a complete ultrasound scan of a patient presenting at A&E with pain in the epigastric and paraumbilical regions.

My effort is: 'Severe, disruptive intestinal meteorism'

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

impaired visualization

IMO, interferente does not mean "bothering the patient", but "bothering the examiner", because it is not possible to 'look through' gas by ultrasound.

interfering

'interfering abundance of intestinal gas'

Ref.1 - Ultrasound cannot be used to image bones because they are too dense to penetrate. In addition, the intestinal tract and normal lung tissue are not easily identified with ultrasound because air or gas interfere with the production of ultrasound images.

Intestinal gas hampers visualization of the intestinal tract.
Please see ref.2 - Also, any abdominal ultrasound procedure, diagnostic or therapeutic, may be hampered by a patient's body type or other factors, such as the presence of excessive bowel gas (which is opaque to ultrasound).
Example sentence:

The intestinal tract is not easily identified with ultrasound because intestinal gas may interfere with the production of ultrasound images.
