Italian term

di derivazione anni 70

Italian to English Other Textiles / Clothing / Fashion tennis shoes
La scarpa Equipe, running retrò di derivazione anni '70 assume un aspetto vissuto, consumato e deformato dal tempo grazie agli speciali lavaggi.

Do we have a catchy way of saying this in English? It's clear they mean the look derives from the 70s; it seems here even the shoe itself was made in this model in the 70s. "of 70s derivation" is perhaps unusual in English, or is it?

Thanks,

Peter

70s-style

It's not actually from the 70s, it's inspired by the 70s.
