Glossary entry (derived from question below)
Russian term or phrase:
объективная морально-политическая ситуация
English translation:
an impersonal/non-egoistical/true-to-life/hard/intrinsic ethico-political circumstances/settings
Russian term

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Susan, you see why I wanted to hear from other colleagues? This is funny indeed, nobody talks like this in our days. Of course I could have translated it literally, but it would have sound atrocious as one of our colleagues has pointed out. |

: That "modern text" is pretty funny, since nobody uses "whom" nowadays.//It should be a Nuremberg Crime to "modernize" Shakespeare.

It's just amusing that someone believed it necessary to 'modernize' the initial text written by the undoubtedly English native speaker and writer named William Shakespeare.||And what about http://www.biblestudytools.com/compare-translations/ ???

The Misha
: The problem is with semi-literate Russian here which becomes worse when rendered verbatim.I'd simply say "sociopolitical situation" here which doesn't sound as atrocious.Plus sociopolitical is one of the "unhyphenated hyphenateds" that's actually used.

I don't think you can leave "moral" out, without knowing more about the subject matter.

Discussion
In other words, taking into account the public mood (public sentiment) and political state in the country, I, on several occasions, asked them to consider (look into) the possibility for moving abroad.
