: Indeed, but only if followed by a noun : enable interaction, execution, exchange etc. But not if followed by the infinitive - not "enable to perform". "enable us, staff etc to perform".

You're correct. "Enable somebody", not "enable to do something" without a noun - that would be indeed grammar-clumsy.
