Did you know that 2011 is the 10th anniversary year of ProZ.com conferences? And did you know that the first ProZ.com conference ever took place in Italy in 2001?

In light of this, holding the first European international conference in the breathtaking Italian capital city is highly symbolic! Don't miss this fantastic anniversary, a tribute to all those who contributed to make ProZ.com events grow throughout the years and a celebration of the translation profession.

Venue

All roads lead to Rome, as the proverb says!

Ever since the 18th century Grand Tours Rome has been one of the favourite sightseeing locations : classical Rome with its ancient ruins, baroque churches, piazze, monuments, fountains and breathtaking views are now waiting for you!

The Conference will be held at the Hotel dei Congressi in the EUR business district, a modern location conveniently close to the city and easily accessible by public transport from any starting point.

Conference fee and registration

The Conference fee includes full attendance to all sessions on Saturday May 21st and Sunday May 22nd, plus coffee breaks, two lunches and gala dinner (on Saturday evening).
 
One-day passes and student discount pricing do not include the Gala dinner (separate tickets for this social event may be purchased).

Please note that accommodation will not be included in any of the packages. It is your responsibility to make your own accommodation arrangements. For addresses and tips, please see the accommodation section below and the relevant forum topic.

Credits for ATA, Assointerpreti and AITI Continuing Education Programs can be awarded for attendance to the Conference. We are waiting for a reply from other Associations.

 

 

Accommodation

Please note that accommodation will not be included in any of the conference packages and that hotel bookings are not ProZ.com's responsibility.

Travel information and transportation

Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci airport is 26 km from Rome and the quickest way to reach central Rome is the shuttle train, the Leonardo Express, which leaves every 30 minutes for the main station, Stazione Termini, not-stop route (14 Euro).
Fixed rate for taxis into town is 40 Euro (up to four people)

Ciampino airport is about 20 km from the city; it is connected to the FS (State Railway) train station Roma Termini by Cotral/Schiaffini blue buses. Tickets can be bought onboard and cost 5 Euro.
Fixed rate for taxis into town is 30 Euro (up to four people)

Getting around the city is easy with the (slightly erratic) public transport system. Information on buses, metro, tickets and travel cards is available here
