French term

Délai de prise en compte

French to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s)
Dear translators:

Hi and thanks for your help. I am translating a contract and I encountered this phrase: Délai de prise en compte.

The context is as follows:
Délai de prise en compte: Délai qui s'écoule entre la réception de la demande et l'émission de la réponse.

As I understand, it would be something like the time that passes between one action and the other, so I translated is as "delay", but I don't know what to do with the "prise en compte" part, unless "delay to be taken into account" is correct, but I find it somehow weird.

I thought I had it solved, but then I found "délais" in this other context:
"Plage et Délais d'Intervention: Le service d'assistance technique est accessible pendant les horaires d'accès au support, et la société répondra dans le délais de prise en compte et fournira une solution dans le délais indiqués à l'Annex 1"

It would sound weird to translate it as "Delay of the intervention". I understand the idea completely: the company will respond within that period and will give a solution, but I lack a term to explain it and translate "délai de prise en compte".

What would you recommend?
"Delay to be taken into account"
"Within the time-frame"
"Within the period"

What do you suggest? Thank you very much for your help!

Request processing time

Hello,

I know that "la prise en compte" has to do with something being processed.

délai = time it takes to do something
prise en compte = processing (of "request" here)

I hope this helps.

la prise en compte

my advice: say goodbye to the English word <delay> what is meant here is < period > within the period foreseen or in line with the deadline stipulated etc. delay in English means above all retard, e.g. without delay.

neutral Tony M : the right place for these comments would really be the 'discussion' box, Ellen, and not this space, which is meant specifically for reference information
