How about "Our production system is our lifeline?". Better still, if it fits the context, "Our production system is YOUR lifeline".

has made our production system what it is today.

This "gelebt" seems to be used quite often in the sense of 'we practise what we preach' - there's not just a good system in place but everyone has adopted it heart and soul, and that's why it works.

It really is horrible wording to translate. A few words of thanks to the staff for their 100% commitment would probably do the job equally well!

A typical example:

\"Unsere Mitarbeiter *** identifizieren sich mit unserem QM-System ***, darum freuen wir uns immer dies auch bei externen Überprüfungen unter Beweis zu stellen\", kommentierte XY, Qualitätsmanager.

I would be inclined to use the word commitment in the HR context in preference to executive-speak like \'identification with the corporate mission\' - especially if addressing the staff directly.

agree Endre Both : "We practise what we preach" is exactly what occurred to me reading the "gelebtes" -- but the phrase is just ridiculous German, making no sense at all.
