"Bomba"
In Argentinian Spanish, "word for hip" would be "bomba" as in "espero que la pases bomba".

Depending on the country, you'll get lots of options. In the US Mexico border, you also hear "padre" o "padrisimo" for anything hip, cool, fabulous.
