I recently bought a hot water bottle. Here are the instructions.

Sweet concern for baby Aug 20, 2016

I thought the "let the heat water bag a little far from baby" was the best bit.

So... Water does have a temper! I've always suspected that.icon_smile.gif

My favorite was the "sour, alkali, oil and sunlight shoot". What??

This really was... Aug 20, 2016

A little master piece. Aug 20, 2016

Did they get even one single word right?

How did this one get approved and find its way to the buyers?

My favorite one is #8.

Well... that happens a lot in China, manufactures don't really care about their English version product instructions, or, they have no idea about how capable the translator they've hired.

CE Mark Aug 21, 2016

Just out of curiosity, did it sport the mandatory (at least until Brexit takes effect) European CE mark, or the bordering-on-fraudulent China Export CE mark?

May I point out that only the UK is leaving. The CE mark will continue to apply. British-made products will not have the CE mark because they will not be compliant with EU standards. Enjoy your Brexit and, as the hot water bottle says....common live to get warm!

Same experience Aug 21, 2016

In a previous century I bought a video recorder. Never got the damn thing working properly because I didn't understand the manual, but the electronic clock worked great, I always had the right time.

Nice weather outside. Aug 22, 2016

Better to just go out and enjoy the sunlight shoot!

No need for heat water bag until the winter shoot.icon_biggrin.gif

Actually one time I received a text like this from a Chinese agency to translate from as a test (in their first inquiry, they just attached the test!). They promised me a project if I passed the test (probably at something like 0.03). Then I asked them who wrote their source texts and received just silence.icon_smile.gif

I once bought a Japanese audio amplifier, and the first page of the instruction leaflet said "Turn on/off switch to on".

I found that very helpful.

Indeed it is so nice when manuals have the basics covered!

So Tom, does your heat water bag have an in-built clock as well as the temper?
