German term

Innere Einkehr

or turning in on oneself/internal retreat
Peer comment(s):

neutral Cilian O'Tuama : IMO that would be dormancy or inactivity, but not reflection

damit ist "in sich gehen" gemeint
Peer comment(s):

neutral Ian M-H (X) : sounds a touch too restless to me - doesn't really fit with "zur Ruhe kommen"...

insight view

The picture is very nice, I would use insight because of its double interpretation

turning inwards

Captures the inward motion, and may also fit the turning of the leaf.

furl, furled

AGREE so far with "introspection" but browsing the mental backwaters re. winter quiet (yet not hibernation) AND your own angle on the curled leaf (your pic.?) suggested furling: both 'inward-looking' and 'put away for the duration of an interval'/resting. Still not le mot juste, I know.
