I am translating Peruvian academic (University level) transcripts.

This is a course name and there is no other context to offer.

"National Reality" doesn't seems to fit. Sounds like a civics class to me. Any opinions?

(Contemporary) National Issues

This sounds more like the name of a course that might be taught here in the US.
