Vielen Dank.

course

Explanation:
I think in this context "course" in itself would automatically mean a series of talks/seminars, etc.

disagree  Hilary Davies Shelby: sorry, but it's definitely "series" in this context. "Sequence" would be incorrect.

Note to Beatriz Galiano - no matter how you argue, "lecture" is not a synonym of "seminar".

agree  BrigitteHilgner: I was already wondering why the word "seminar" shouldn't be used - I think it's perfectly alright in this context.
3 mins

agree  Jim Tucker (X): also can't see the problem - clearly not "courses," as the topic is too specific and it's not a school setting.

What is more, at University level, Professors and Doctors, are supposed to 'lecture'.

I even have a booklet from Mount Holyoke College where I studied in 1992-3 with a choice of extra-curricular lectures about all kind of subjects. Also, lecture sounds less German than seminar, now that I think.

neutral  Hilary Davies Shelby: I think it depends on the form of the events. In the UK, a "lecture" is an event at which a professor talks "at" a (larger) group of students, often with little/no interaction with them. Outside a university, a"lecture" is a talk with little interaction.
