I think this is for calculating a salary for expatriates and they mean the amount that would be paid a French national doing the same job, adjusting for taxes (deducted) and family benefits (added).
You may come up with a more felicitous wording, but that's what they mean. If this is for UK readership, use 'remuneration' instead of 'compensation' (US usage).

You chose "salary" for "remunération" in a previous question on this subject, so I guess that's what it will have to be. In my opinion they are often two different things - remuneration is everything you receive, including bonuses and allowances.
