Technical specifications for office building
Hello all,
This comes from technical specifications for a new office building. I'm aware that groupe électrogène = generator, but have no idea where "preneur" fits in! Many thanks for any help.

tenant's (own) generating set
In other words, the space is provided for it, but the landlord doesn't actually provide the generator itself.

In real estate, 'preneur' is very often the word used for a tenant (especially, I've noticed, in CH, though that might just be a co-incidence!)

And of course, 'lessee' or 'tenant' is one of the bog standard dictionary definitions of 'preneur', cf. R+C, for example.

Well, you don't need to take my word for it, Anne — it's in plenty of dictionaries and on-line resources too.

: I would be very wary of assuming 'preneur' means 'take-up' in this sense, unless you have concrete refs.?

: May well be what its function is, but I don't believe that covers what 'preneur' means here.

: May well be what its function is, but I don't believe that covers what 'preneur' means here. And as Kim says, adding 'AC' amounts to a risk of over-translation, since the source text doesn't make that explicit.
