Air Consumption in Buildings
From a text about reducing air consumption in buildings. I can't make head or tail of "im großen Topf" and can't find any translation for it. It's either an idiom I'm unfamiliar with, or some sort of word play. TIA for any light you can shed on it.

1 hr
included in the overall total
my take
3 hrs
in the larger tub
If the metaphor needs to be there. Maybe "drowned"?
4 hrs
absorbed into the same pool
or:
".. commingled in the same pool (or pot)."
I like "absorbed" in this context because it gets us close to "untergehen"
