Per i lavori di costruzione, Works Manager è il Direttore dei lavori. Qui invece è sinonimo di Plant Manager, ovvero direttore di stabilimento.

Plant/works manager
This is often a first general management role for the graduate in a manufacturing setting, and may alternatively be known as a factory or operations manager. The manager may have full operational control over what happens at the plant/works including engineering, output, personnel and often logistics and other commercial activity (sales and marketing).
