¿Existe alguna diferencia entre estos dos verbos que se pueden traducir al español como "alquilar" o "arrendar"? Estoy traduciendo un texto en inglés al español pero creo que originalmente el texto era alemán, el hecho de que siempre aparezca el binomio: "lease or rent" (como diferentes posibilidades) ¿puede tener su origen en el alemán?

Los dos verbos significan lo mismo, es decir "Ceder o adquirir por precio el goce o aprovechamiento temporal de algo"
Pero hay una sutil diferencia:
ALQUILAR: se usa cuando se habla especialmente de una finca urbana, un animal o un mueble.
ARRENDAR: se usa cuando se habla especialmente de obras o servicios.
