French term
P.U.G.
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering
there is very limited context to this. It appears in a comprehensive insurance claim where there is damage to a PVC network. Inside a box for "informations complémentaires" (additional information), there appears the following (my translation in parenthesis):
Entrepreneur (Contractor)
Marché - Plomberie (Sector - Plumbing)
Type - contre découpage d'ouvrage (Type - ???)
Assureur - Cet intervenant est assuré dans le contexte de la **P.U.G.** prescrite pour ce chantier
I'm understanding that a plumber has intervened to repair damages "contre" (as opposed to...) what??
Any suggestions

this contractor is covered by the insurance of the "P.U.G." type that was mandated for this building site.
What came to my mind immediately was "plan urbanisme c....."
e.g. Projet urbain communal
Un Projet urbain communal à horizon 2030 - Ouest-Francehttps://www.ouest-france.fr › ... › Saint-Malo-de-Guersac
17 févr. 2017 — Il va servir de plan de référence pour tout projet d'aménagement, ... du CAUE44 (Conseil en architecture urbanisme et environnement) pour faire un ... qui a apporté sa collaboration technique et financière sur ce projet (PUC).

The word "prescrite" is troubling me a bit, but I'm not able to explain why.
For instance: https://www.embroker.com/coverage/ocips-and-ccips/ Or IRMI, always a reliable source where insurance is concerned: https://www.irmi.com/term/insurance-definitions/controlled-i...
This can also be useful: “International insurance markets, especially those in the United Kingdom and France, have long provided excess and specialty wrap-up coverages, that include most all program coverages with the exception of primary workers’ compensation.”
Two queries: Wrap-Up Insurance is meant for large construction projects (is it the case here?) and PUCs are no longer used as much as they used to be (how old is your text?)
