French term

lésions d'éléments nobles

French to English Medical Medical: Health Care upper arm or hand surgery
Hello everyone
I am translating an article on arm and hand surgery.
I have this term to translate, and I am guessing it refers to the hand, but I cannot seem to find the meaning.
sentence:" La mise en place des fiches de fixateurs peut provoquer des lesions d'elements nobles" I need to know what "lesions d'elements nobles" means. Thanks

French term (edited): peut provoquer des lésions d'éléments nobles
Selected

may damage important structures

provoquer des lésions = to damage

"Noble structures" does not sound very English to my ear.

Lesion of noble structures

Il semble que cette traduction presque mot à mot puisse faire l'affaire.
Example sentence:

As for the risks, they appear to be low, although there is a possibility of lesion to noble structures as the orbit and skull base.
