: @ liz: I studied your link, but found nothing in view of "hardeníng". Contrary to this, the article speaks of celloulose oxidation and its derivates, including terms like exipient and compaction (see my proposal).

At first "hardened" seemed too literal, but here is an interesting link. By the way, the drugs in question are OxyNEO (drug 1) and OxyContin (drug 2).
