German term

silikogen

German to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.)
Es dürfen keine asbesthaltigen Materialien oder andere Stoffe, die silikogenes, giftiges oder krebserzeugendes Potential freisetzen können, eingesetzt werden.

From a standard delivery contract.

I've found a few hits on silicogenic, but they're mostly on German sites. Do we have a standard English wording for this, or do I have to paraphrase?

TIA

or silicotic, though the latter only means relating to silicosis.

perhaps

Not sure.

Silicogenic is not mentioned in the literature available to me.

Maybe of some assistance.

I\'m fairly sure it refers to silicosis (Staublunge) in this asbestos context.

silicon-producing

This is what "silicogenic" basically means. The suffix "genic" means "producing". So, if you don't want to say "silicogenic" (which I personally think would be OK), this seems like about your only other option (at least, to me).
