Discussion

SJLD Jun 6, 2011:
Slack is OK, but probably not what a NES doctor would use. In my doctorly experience, a fontanel(le) is referred to as either normal, sunken or bulging. http://www.aafp.org/afp/2003/0615/p2547.html
Claudia Cherici Jun 6, 2011:
slack not many hits, but I guess it could be used too...I wouldn't personally, because it somehow implies a negative meaning while here detesa is a positive sign (normal, not stretched condition)
achisholm (asker) Jun 5, 2011:
Slack I've been given other samples from the client, and the term slack is used here.

soft

fontanelle is soft, normal state - not bulging, which would suggest raised intracranial pressure.

A sunken fontanelle is a sign of dehydration.
