Can't get my head around the word 'innesco' here so any help/suggestions much appreciated.

Per Ivana secondo me è innesto. A guardare gli altri termini non c'è dubbio. Lo so che poi c'è l'altro termine, quello con HF (e li potrebbe trattarsi di saldatura, ma non ne so nulla, infatti non ho risposto). qui, invece, a cercare "swing check valve" e poi con gli elementi che hai: coperchio autoclave, guarnizione, anello distanziale, anello spaccato... secondo me non centra la saldatura. C'entra il montaggio di una valvola di ritegno a farfalla e la descizione delle varie parti...

Not a very high level of confidence as I'm not quite sure what it is but here's the translation used by Bonetti for 'flangia innesco'. Hopefully you can see if it fits in your context.

Thanks Kate, I found another Bonetti document where they the same term is translated as 'gland flange' - it has to be a bonnet flange but given the confustion with innesto/innesto I'm sticking to the more literal 'coupling flange' (if it is in fact innesto) and providing a very large translator note!

I think that it is innesto and not innesco.
Innesco means: primer or striking which really makes little sense with a phlange.

Welding neck flange - looking at this closer in connection to your subsequent question I believe this may actually be correct. It is for welding as I understand it now. If this is true then innesco and not innesto was correct.

Thanks for your help on this - it's very much appreciated. I really don't have enough information to tell if it could be a welding neck flange or not. I've found various translations online, all of which translate as innesto rather than innesto, which is what I have done on the basis of your first suggestion. I don't have any diagrams to help shed light on the matter so I'll have to resort to a translator note!
Thanks for all your help on this Dasein. Essentially this is in fact a coupling flange however when presented with the various options the client has opted for bonnet flange :)
