Actually grapes are used twice to get wine first (through must and fermentation etc.) and thereafter, as pomace, by addition of water (and sometimes sugar) to get what was known in Italy as "vinello". A by-produce meant for consumption by farmers themselves, btw being its trading banned by law. I definitely agree with Edgar Bettridge that translation of svinata is irrelevant to the pump functioning and therefore to its description. MAu
