Spanish term
responsable (as a noun)
Spanish to English
Other
Government / Politics
I know what the word means, but I'm just frustrated - as usual - by trying to think of a neat noun to rpresent it, as in 'el responsable de'.
Normally there are solutions but when it's a heading on its own, as in 'Responsable: Juan Nadie, what single word can be used?

: I think you mean the noun 'responsibility' - don't think responsibleness exists as a word as it's not in any UK dictionary that I have.

: Hola, Xen. Si aparece en los diccionarios, es una palabra que no se usa en el contexto de la pregunta. When are assigned responsibility you become responsible or accountable for, are in charge of, or are called "manager" or some other title :)

person responsible for / in charge of
You need to combine a place-filler noun, such as "person," with the adjectival meaning.

"person responsible for" (the project) or "person in charge" (of the project)
There is no way out of either "Responsible Person" or "Person in Charge" to mean the designated person who makes the decisions or answers for whatever the next paragraph describes.
I am affraid that I would be hard pressed to find a single word.
Good luck. Ana María.
