To be frank, I am baffled as to how to translate this expression. There's a point to it obviously, but I am more than a little tempted to find a way around it if I can (which I can't, since it's a headline. 8-) The closest that I can come up with is в ряд or последовательно. Thanks in advance fot your help. I've listed a few options below for context.

Оговорюсь правда, что выражение это мне незнакомо, так что в значительной мере это догадка (в части "краткости"). Недостаток вариантов "за 2 дня" и т.п. (при том, что звучат они более "газетно") видится в том, что они обязательно требуют указания количества дней (2, 3, 5 и т.д.), в то время как в приведенных заголовках кол-во дней не указано.

В свете любезных разъяснений г-на Кропотова, предложил бы следующий вариант в качестве универсального (т.е., не требующего указания количества дней) решения:

\"Что ни день, то...\"

Что ни день, то новое землетрясение
Что ни день, то новый рекорд Яна Торпа
и т.д.

Довольно разговорный вариант, но для газеты подходит безусловно.

Mikhail Kropotov: кол-во дней указано - оно равно числу рекордов или в общем случае того, о чем речь в первой части предложения Для 1 подходит оч. хорошо +++ Ну когда более одного события, теряется информация об их числе, разве нет
