MSR (Mess- Regel- und Leittechnik) [acronym]

German to English Tech/Engineering Automation & Robotics Measurement, control and process control technology
All,

I am translating the CV of an engineer in the building services engineering industry.

Under "professional experience", the person lists "Bereichsleiter Gebäudetechnik HLKKSE MSR"

So far, I have "Business unit manager - building services engineering HVACR / …" and "measurement, control and process control technology" for "Mess- Regel- und Leittechnik".
I am looking for an acronym to keep the sentence readable.

Ich auch nicht Meinen Vorschlag hatte ich längst abgegeben und begründet. Die Frage ist schon längs geschlossen worden. Leider mit einer meiner Ansicht nach falschen Auswahl. Ich hatte es deshalb für sinnvoll gehalten, künftige Besucher darauf hinzuweisen, daß I&C keine gute Wahl ist, weil "Instrumentation" nicht "MSR" (Meß-, Steuerungs- und Regeltechnik) bedeutet, sondern "Ausrüstung mit Meßgeräten" (Instrumentierung).

Warum 19 Tage nach Fragestellung immer noch Disagrees verteilt werden, die auch noch mit Links auf eigene Fragen begründet werden, verstehe ich dann doch nicht mehr. Für mich war die Sache seit zwei Wochen erledigt.

Cilian versucht durch einen Link auf seine frühere Antwort auf die Frage nach "I&C" glauben zu machen, dass dies mit "Meß-, Steuerungs- und Regeleinrichtungen" übersetzt würde, erkärt aber nur die Abkürzung (und das noch falsch).

"MSR" is abbreviated from "Meß-, Regelungs- und Steuerungstechnik" quasi identical to "Leittechnik".

The spelled-out term "Meß-, Regel- und Leittechnik" is by the author of the document (i.e. the person whose CV I was translating). A fact that complicates things a bit...

Wikipedia defines Instrumentation differently:

Das ist kein Gegenbeispiel, sondern die eigene Antwort auf die Frage nach MSR; Antwort Cilian: "Meß-, Steuerungs- und Regeleinrichtungen", ohne "I&C" vorzuschlagen, (kommt nur als Kommentar ohne Beleg vor). Also kein Beweis!
