English term

Grazing

English to Portuguese Medical Medical: Dentistry Grazing
Prezados Tradutores,

Letting your child snake, sip on liquids containing sugar or grazing all day long can lead to an unhealthy mouth and tooth decay.

Obrigado.

Atenciosamente,

Sergio Medina

ruminar, passar o dia a comer

Obrigada!
agree Nick Taylor : I don't know if "ruminar" works for people rather than ruminants in Pt, but it means just that! :-)

Obrigada, Nick!
neutral airmailrpl : Ruminants usually have a stomach divided into four compartments (called the rumen, reticulum, omasum, and abomasum), and chew a cud consisting of regurgitated, partially digested food...and definitly do NOT chew on regurgitated, partially digested food

Obviously, a figure of speech (people don't graze either...)
