orientation du Logos

French to English Art/Literary General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Theological speech
Être en état de péché, c’est être à côté de son axe, viser à côté de la cible, c’est être dans un désir désorienté, avoir perdu l’orientation du Logos vers la lumière.

I cannot figure this one out. Thanks for any help......!

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

orientation of the Logos

I summise that the text may be from Christian theology but "Logos" is a term adopted from Greel philiosophy.

1.
Theology
the Word of God, or principle of divine reason and creative order, identified in the Gospel of John with the second person of the Trinity incarnate in Jesus Christ.
2.
(in Jungian psychology) the principle of reason and judgement, associated with the animus.

Logos
Logos is a term in Western philosophy, psychology, rhetoric, and religion derived from a Greek word variously meaning "ground", "plea", "opinion", "expectation", "word", "speech", "account", "reason", "proportion", and "discourse". Wikipedia

So this orientation describes one's direction as they go towards the divine light?
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : I think it should be in italics, and with a lower-case "l".
