French term
traitements hors paie
French to English
Bus/Financial
Human Resources
This phrase is taken from a document dealing with payroll systems.
In a section dealing with the timeline for making payments, the following footnote is added:
Does this refer to outstanding salary payments? The use of "montants" makes me lean towards this rather than "non-financial rewards" which had been my initial thought.
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks,
George

non-payroll payments
Not very high confidence on this one - I'd want to research it a lot more before being really sure. However, I'm pretty sure that the "paie" here is the payroll, as SafeTex mentioned in the discussion box. Non-payroll transactions might also be more accurate - depends a bit on exactly what they are - actual payments or simple reimbursements. Here are a couple of useful reference that seem to fit the context:

Comment: "I went for this as it seems to be in usage in this context and paie is used to mean payroll throughout the source document.
Thanks to all who contributed for advice/suggestions."

extra pay benefits
I imagine 'traitements hors paie" to be any other earnings added to the usual salary.

I reckon these are payments that are not part of the salary, e.g. performance bonus...
Primes hors salaire

: Why don't you put this as an answer? Non-salary benefits.

I thought it wasn't really a problem of finding the right words in English, but just understanding the French ....

Discussion
But without further details, you need a generic term. Petty cash for small payments, reimbursement of expenditure or sth like that.
Alternatively, perhaps it refers to payments outside of regular wages/salary. Say ... you take on an extra job at a fixed rate.
