"Un problème d'étanchéité peut résulter de la présence d'un matériau intermédiaire doux et généralement absorbant entre la poche et l'enveloppe externe qui, au contact des bords de la poche peut fuir par capillarité, ainsi qu'au niveau des coutures..."

My translation:
A tightness issue may result from the presence of a gentle intermediate and usually absorbent material between the pocket and the outer envelope which, in contact with the edges of the pocket may leak par capillarité
