Portuguese term
Criação do Próprio Emprego
Portuguese to English
Bus/Financial
Business/Commerce (general)
annual report of a municipality
part of a list which talks about SMEs, creation of incentives, etc. The usual lenga-lenga. However, am a bit stuck because of the word 'Próprio'.

Note from asker:
Gilmar, am thinking of 'creation of self-employment'. Does that sound correct in terms of investment? As in, investment in self-employment? Thanks. Carla |

Launching one's own business/enterprise
I really don't think creation quite works in English here. "Becoming self-employed" sounds a bit too passive, and doesn't seem to reflect the effort and initiative implied in "criação".
Boa sorte.

: Some other alternatives could be "Starting one's own business/company/enterprise or even "Setting up one's own business".

Agreed. "Creation," however, doesn't work here. Thank you, Alex. :)
